LUNAmoon New Gel Tips – Salon Ballerina

LUNAmoon New Gel Tips are disposable acrylic tips designed for quick and easy nail extensions. They allow you to create the desired shape and length in just 10–20 minutes, replacing the need for lower or upper forms.

Thanks to their flexibility and strength, these tips are suitable for different types of natural nail plates. Their pre-formed structure means they do not require additional reinforcement with hard materials. The finished extensions are thin, strong and natural-looking.

The additional intermediate sizes allow for a more precise fit to the natural nail plate, helping achieve a secure and seamless application.

Application Technique

1. Remove the previous coating, trim the natural nail to approximately 1 mm in length and shape it into a rounded form.
2. Mattify the natural nail plate with a buffer and perform the manicure. If a remover has been used, wash the hands thoroughly with soap after the procedure.
3. Degrease the nail plate using LUNAmoon Nail Prep.
4. If necessary, apply LUNAmoon Primer.
5. Apply LUNAmoon Rubber Base, Marker Base or Fix Base and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
6. Select the appropriate tip size. The tip should match the arch of the natural nail and cover the ingrown areas on both sides with sufficient leeway.
7. Prepare the inner contact area of the tip with LUNAmoon Nail Prep, then apply Marker Base or Fix Base.
8. Position the tip slightly away from the cuticle and cure it in the lamp.
9. Shape the nail to the desired length and form. If necessary, refine the transition around the cuticle area using a diamond or TVS bit.
10. Apply the base coat. Before applying gel polish, even out the surface using a clear base coat.
11. Cure the coating in the lamp for 120 seconds.
12. Apply the top coat and cure for a further 120 seconds. After curing, do not buff the surface, as this will help preserve the shine.

Important: Further reinforcement of the tips with hard materials is not recommended, as this may contribute to lifting.

Correction Procedure

1. Remove the existing coating down to the tip. If lifting is present, carefully remove the lifted area using a drill bit.
2. Buff the surface of both the natural nail and the tip until matte.
3. Adjust the length and shape of the nail as required.
4. Perform the manicure. If a remover has been used, wash the hands thoroughly with soap after the procedure.
5. Degrease the nail plate using LUNAmoon Nail Prep.
6. If necessary, apply LUNAmoon Primer.
7. Apply LUNAmoon Rubber Base, Fix Base or Marker Base.
8. Level the surface using a coloured or clear base coat. Use a clear base coat underneath gel polish.
9. If necessary, carefully file the transition from the inner edge of the nail.
10. Cure the coating in the lamp for 120 seconds.
11. Apply the top coat and cure for a further 120 seconds. Do not wipe the coating after curing.

Wear & Removal

The expected wear time is approximately 2.5–4 weeks, depending on the length of the extensions. The longer the nails, the shorter the potential wear time may be.

Tips can be removed by filing or soaking, depending on the products used during application.

Correction is possible provided the tip covers the ingrown areas with sufficient leeway and the natural nail has not become deformed.
